Nerissa is a trained clinical social worker with over two decades of experience, and now works between private practice and a clinical role in the public sector. She has extensive experience in the field of mental health and has worked in community settings and tertiary mental health units in New Zealand. Nerissa works mostly with adults of all ages and adolescents. Grounded in the belief that there is no ‘one size fits all’ Nerissa will design the intervention alongside her client and ensure that it is tailor-made to suit the client’s presenting challenges and will work from a strengths-based perspective. Being South African born, raised and educated, Nerissa is au fait with working with people from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Using a variety of modalities that include, but are not limited to ACT, FACT, DBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing,
